What is necessary to create a legal entity in Chile?
Monday, July 27, 2009
Creating a legal entity in Chile takes 27 days and requires nine different procedures. Basically, the investor must deposit capital via the Central Bank, and then they must submit a public notice of the entity that is being formed so that it can be published in the Diario Oficial and registered in the Registro de Comercio (Commerce Registry). It is also necessary to present the necessary information to the Internal Revenue Service in order to obtain a RUT and satisfy the necessary conditions to operate in the country. See more about this in the Foreign Investment Committee.
