Fly fishing in Laguna Galletué

Located to the northeast of Temuco and 40 kilometers from Lonquimay, this lagoon is the origin of the Bio Bio River.  It is known for its beautiful landscape, with lenga and araucaria forests, and birds like the eagle and tagua.  To fly fish in Galletué, it is necessary to have some technical experience in calm waters. The lagoon has an abundance of rainbow trout and occasionally one can find brown trout.  There are also trout colonies in nearby Icalma Lagoon.
