Lago Rupanco

Located closet to Osorno, and to the south of Lake Puyehue, Rupanco stands out for its population of Atlantic salmon and strains of Donalson and Stealhead, which are species that were introduced by the University of Los Lagos in the 80’s,  But the majority of the fish population is comprised of coho and rainbow trout.  Rupanco has lodges and other facilities for those who love to fish.  In terms of flora and fauna, this area is know for myrtles and ferns and birds like the cormorants and tagua.
