Fly fishing in the Ñirehuao

This river is located 70 kilometers from Coyhaique and is also know as the “river of grasshoppers”, as these insects are abundant in this area and the population of fario trout is accustomed to eating them.  This area is very suitable for wading and using dry flies and grasshoppers.  It is one of the few rivers where catch and release is a must.  Visitors can also find flamingos and black necked swans in the Ñirehuao.  Those who want to stay in the area can utilize the lodge located by the river.
