This city that was the scene of the most symbolic of the naval battles in the Pacific War, in which the sailor and national hero Arturo Prat was killed, holds a facility that is part of the network of museums belonging to the Chilean Navy. It is located in a century-old building that holds elements related to the conflict between Chile and the Peru-Bolivia  Confederation, one of the most important milestones in Chilean history.
