Monitor Huascar

The armored battleship that Peru bought from England in 1864 is now one of the oldest floating museums in the world. The Monitor Huáscar was captured by the Chileans during the Pacific War, in which the country fought against Peru and Bolivia from 1879 to 1883. Located in Talcahuano Bay, it contains the entire history of the military conflict and the Chilean national hero and sailor Arturo Prat.
