Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley)

mapa-natural-valle de la luna

With a desert landscape that is astonishingly similar to the surface of the moon, the Valley of the Moon is integrated into the La Sal mountain range and adjacent to the fascinating village of San Pedro de Atacama.  It forms part of Flamingo National Reserve, which consists of seven areas with lakes, tamarugo forests, birds and mammals. With 40% of the world reserves of lithium, and 3,000 square feet of terrain, the Atacama is the third largest salt field in the world.
