San Pedro Pichasca – Las Minillas Trail

Sendero Pichasca Minillas

This trail is located along the Hurtado River.  Hikers make a point of visiting Cueva del Diablo (“The Devil’s Cave”) in San Pedro Pichasca, which is inhabited by flocks of Tricahue parrots.  The trail is also globally known for the Pichasca Monument – an archeological site where dinosaur bones were first uncovered.  Another important archeological site known as Las Tinajas is located along the trail, a place where Molle artifacts were recovered.
