Tucapel Fortress
This fortress was built by the Spanish conqueror Pedro de Valdivia in the year 1552 inside the City of Cañete. In the same place, during a battle against the Mapuche leader Lautaro, Pedro de Valdivia was killed in the Tucapel Battle in 1553.
