Santiago Cathedral

Many consider the Santiago Cathedral to be the most important church in Chile.  It is located alongside the central plaza in downtown Santiago, and was designed by Spanish architects Antonio Acuña and  Joaquín Toesca.  Construction finished at the end of the 19th c.  Visitors often visit the remains of several prominent Catholic bishops and politicians.
