Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI) has its origin in the Business School of Valparaíso, founded in 1953. Currently it houses 8,000 students of undergraduate and postgraduate levels in its Campus in Santiago (Peñalolén and Presidente Errazuriz), Viña del Mar, and Miami, from which 15 thousand professionals spread over 40 countries have graduated.

Among its special features the institution boasts the condition of best private University (awarded in 2009 by the magazine Qué Pasa); accreditation of its Business School by AACSB (USA) and AMBA (Europe), and  is the first and only Latin American University with an accredited post graduate program in the United States, which is imparted since 2007 in its Miami campus.

Academic programs

The UAI is organized into seven faculties: Business, Law, Engineering and Science, Government, Liberal Arts, Journalism and Psychology. It imparts six undergraduate careers: Commercial Engineering, Law, Psychology, Journalism and Civil Engineering, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in History.

In addition, it imparts various post-graduate plans, among them 20 Master's Programs, an International MBA, and the first Ph.D. in Management in Chile.  In also has over 50 exchange agreements in place with universities in Europe, America, Asia and Oceania.
