The Universidad de los Andes was founded in 1989 and accredited by the National Accreditation Commission in 2006. It is a private University with more than 5000 undergraduate students and 1,026 graduate students. The 52-hectare University Campus is located in the northeastern area of Santiago and has modern facilities and green areas that encourage learning, research and outreach activities for students, scholars, and administrative staff.

The Universidad de los Andes is a multidisciplinary institution that offers pre-and postgraduate programs and its purpose is to generate, disseminate and promote the comprehensive formation of students. Undergraduate careers are as follows: Law, Medicine, Philosophy, Commercial Engineering, Pedagogy and Preschool Education, Nursing, Journalism, Service Management, Engineering, Dentistry, History, and two programs of Bachelor in Sciences and Social Sciences and Humanities.
At postgraduate level, we offer programs such as a Ph.D. in law and 18 Master’s programs such as History and Cultural Heritage Management, Screenplay and Audiovisual Development, Health Administration and Management, Epidemiology, Family Mediation, Geomechanics applied to Mining, among others. We also offer numerous postgraduate and diploma programs, as well as specialization programs in Administration, Engineering, Health and Humanities.
