Recent years have seen an extraordinary rise in the popularity of casinos throughout Chile, with diverse new establishments appearing near the beaches of the far north, the mountains of the Metropolitan Region, and the forests of the south.

You can experience Chile’s casino culture in 18 locations in 10 regions. Of these locations, 15 are now fully operational near the cities of Antofagasta, Calama and Copiapó in the north, Rinconada, San Antonio, Santa Cruz, Mostazal, Talca and Pinto (near Chillán) in the Central Valley, and Talcahuano, Los Ángeles, Temuco, Valdivia, Osorno and Punta Arenas in the south. Three new projects are currently underway in Ovalle to the north, Castro on the Island of Chiloé, and Coyhaique, the main city in the remote Patagonian region of Aysén.

Under the Law of Casinos and Gambling and in the Gambling Handbook of the Superintendent for Casinos and Gambling, five categories of gambling have been authorized within authorized casinos: roulette, card games, craps, bingo and slot machines.
