Chile has been chosen as a prime location for internationally expanding music festivals for many years now, and 2013 is proving no different.
On February 22 and 23 at the Piscinas del Espacio Broadway on the outskirts of the capital, fans will be treated to the Chilean installment of one of the planet’s biggest electronic music events.
Ultra Music Festival has experienced astounding growth since its inaugural event in 1999. First launched in Miami, Florida, the festival went from audiences of a few thousand to bringing in a mammoth crowd of 165,000 partygoers to this year’s festival.
In 2012, the festival went international, hitting every continent, from Seoul, South Korea, to Ibiza, Spain, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Each festival proved a huge success, and next year Ultra Music’s relentless momentum is being taken to São Paulo, Brazil, and of course, Santiago, Chile.
The U.S. version has attracted some of electronic music’s biggest names, including Fatboy Slim, David Guetta, Deadmau5, and Skrillex. Stay tuned for a full setlist, though in the meantime this taster of confirmed acts for Ultra Music Chile is sure to cause huge excitement among electro fans...
DJ Armin van Buuren

Ranked sixth on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs in 2011, and coming in at number three the following year, this newcomer has already been nominated for a Grammy as well as having a track sampled by pop sensation Leona Lewis.
Fronted by DJ Jeffrey Sutorius and established in 2007, Dutch progressive-trance project Dash Berlin already has a bookshelf full of International Dance Music Awards. Along with Avicii, Dash Berlin will play on February 23.
