Every city in Chile has great destinations for a fun night out on the town. Whether you’re traveling in Arica in the north or Puerto Montt in the south, Chilean cities offer plenty of exciting bars, restaurants, and clubs.

La Tercera recently compiled a list of its favorite cities and places to party throughout the Andean nation. In this article, we’ll review the publication’s favorite bars and clubs in Chile’s capital, focusing on three of the city’s most popular neighborhoods for partying: Barrio Brasil, Barrio Lastarria, and Barrio Bellavista.

For nightlife recommendations outside of Santiago, check out Part 1.

Barrio Brasil

Located along Avenida Brasil in between the Cumming and Santa Ana Metro stops, this area of Santiago offers a wide range of bars and restaurants.

Two popular bars in this area include the Cosmopolita and Bar Buenos Aires. For dining, check out laid-back sushi spot Platipus and bohemian restobar Barabajo.

Other bars to check out in Barrio Brasil: Per Piacere, Bar Vitruvio and Bar Casa.

Barrio Lastarria

If you’re a lover of good food, this neighborhood is a must. Barrio Lastarria offers some of the city’s best restaurants in addition to some great cafes and bars for enjoying a night out. The area is centrally located near the Universidad Católica and Bellas Artes Metro stations.

For dining out, try Mediterranean restaurant Pez Toro, French bistro Les Assassins, or Peruvian eatery Tambo. The restaurant/cafe at cultural center Centro Gabriela Mistral, Gabriela Restaurante, is also a solid option.

For late night drinking, try El Diablito or Berri; both bars are known for their antique aesthetic and great drinks.

Barrio Bellavista

Santiago’s main party district, Barrio Bellavista has bars, restaurants, music venues and clubs for every type of taste. The action centers around the street Pio Nono, but head to Calle Concepción for a slightly more relaxed vibe.

Try über-trendy nightclub Bar Constitución for a memorable night of dancing to live bands and great DJs. Head to the courtyard Patio Bellavista for a more upscale selection of bars and restaurants.
