Numerous winemaking companies take advantage of the best the territory and the climate have to offer. Each valley wants to showcase its attractions and routes to visitors. The months of March and April are ideal for enjoying the diverse wine harvest celebrations.
Colchagua
Santa Cruz is the starting point for this route, the most complete of all. It is located 42 km from San Fernando, has top notch hotels, a new gambling casino, a museum with an interesting display on prehistoric America and the history of Chile, and a train that tours the vineyards while its passengers taste the best wines. And if you are looking to take things to greater heights you can fly over the area in a balloon.
Cachapoal
Located 96 km south of Santiago, the Cachapoal Valley is home to around 10 vineyards that have joined forces to receive visitors. Tourist programs offer attractive tours of the vineyards, wine cellars, and facilities. There is also the chance to tour the vineyards on a mountain bike, enjoy barbecues, and visit important places in the area, all accompanied by generous wines.
Casablanca
Between Santiago and Valparaiso, near the town that gives the valley its name, visitors are guaranteed to be entertained and have their palates satisfied. Eight vineyards offer tastings and the wines, especially the whites, can be combined with gastronomical delicacies in the restaurants opened by some of the vineyards. There are also hotels with spas for demanding visitors.
