Viña del Mar, called the “Garden City,” has many areas open to the public with beautiful gardens, parks and city squares, boasting native species and foreign ones introduced into the country, which thanks to the favorable climate, grow luxuriantly throughout the different seasons of the year.

Main Attractions:  Viña del Mar, called the “Garden City,” has many areas open to the public with beautiful gardens, parks and city squares, boasting  native species and foreign ones introduced into the country, which thanks to the favorable climate, grow luxuriantly throughout the different seasons of the year. Besides the urban landscape with its many green areas, there is the coastal climate with its mild summers, light rainfall and moderate winter temperatures.

A typical architectural feature of Viña del Mar is the large family residences, castles or palaces, witnesses to Chile’s golden years of prosperity in the early 1900s. Viña also has residential neighborhoods of small villas ringed by beautiful gardens, and modern high-rise apartment complexes, most of them bordering the sea.
