Chilean-born international pop sensation Alex Anwandter just released a hot new single entitled Mundo Real (Real World). The song – and his highly anticipated upcoming album – is the creation of a collaborative effort between Anwandter and Chilean singer-songwriter Daniel Riveros, known as the music artist Gepe. This newly formed duo title themselves Alex & Daniel.
Mundo Real gives a mouthwatering taste of what Alex & Daniel have in store for their listeners. Lovers of Anwandter’s disco-infused beats and Gepe’s folk-driven style will not be disappointed. This track’s catchy riffs, intriguing lyrics, and contagious layers of rhythm and sound will undoubtedly have Chileans moving all summer long.
The upcoming album, rumored to also carry the title ‘Mundo Real,’ will incorporate ten tracks composed by both artists and produced by Anwandter.
Anwandter has just emerged into the international limelight after launching his solo career in 2010. In 2011, esteemed U.S. radio show Alt.Latino on National Public Radio called Anwandter’s track ¿Cómo Puedes Vivir Contigo Mismo? (“How Can You Live With Yourself”), “An instant gay pride anthem.”
While Anwandter is just breaking out into the international arena, Gepe has been at it for years, having released his first disc in 2005.
According to Alt.Latino, “[Gepe] mixes traditional sounds with digital beats as if they were meant to go together.”
Needless to say, Anwandter and Riveros’ fans are anxious for the release of this groundbreaking collaboration, expected to hit the shelves in early 2013. In the interim, here’s the teaser, Mundo Real.
