People: tradition moving towards a vision of the future
People who are connected to the world and open to change, without losing their values, that are always moving, with a young spirit and a hunger to learn — lovers of liberty and a respect for diversity.
Chileans have a character instilled in them by their land. Each contrast determines a way of living and leaves its particular mark on the idiosyncrasies of a town that looks beyond, despite the distances imposed by geography.
The people are connected to the world and open to change, without having to shed their values. They are always moving, with a young spirit and a hunger to learn. They are lovers of liberty and have great respect for diversity. They not only live with their differences, but they use them to achieve more. These are a people known for their hospitality and desire to grow.
Workers and builders by nature, they are able to get up again and again; take their dreams into their arms like a baby that must be well cared for; they create families and homes that although they are constantly changing and reinventing themselves, they are always there — with the scent and flavor of avocado and fresh bread, homemade food — to take care of their own.
They are people who are rooted in their love for their land, a land that sometimes awakens and — just as infants do after a nap —shakes underneath their well planted feet. And when this has happened it has only united them more, because it cannot be forgotten that Chileans are a tenacious people.
