Warming up water without a boiler or water heater is already a reality in Chile.A new technology has reached the country which will reduce the economic impact on natural resources, while saving and protecting them by extracting energy from the air to heat water.
Geotek, an environmental technologies company, is responsible for bringing this innovative technology to Chile which uses heat pumps that absorb energy from the air to heat water. Thanks to this application, people will be able to reduce their normal gas or oil consumption to heat water.
In this way, homes, buildings, hotels, hospitals, and businesses can benefit from this practical tool that reduces energy costs from gas consumption by two thirds.
This technology is already being used in other countries. In Brazil, for instance, some hotels utilize the heat generated in gyms to warm up swimming pools. Their experience guarantees this method, which aims to revolutionize the use of renewable resources in Chile, thanks to the sun’s energy, which is always available in thisenvironment.
Furthermore, the ecological impact of this new technology consists in avoiding the use of traditional energy sources, thus minimizing CO2 emissions in half –as compared to gas, oil, and electricity emissions.
