With the start of the 2011 edition of the world’s toughest motor sport endurance race just over a month away, the rally’s organizers have confirmed that competitors will be passing through Chile’s Atacama desert once again in 2012.
The team behind the off-road motor rally have partnered with NGO ‘Un Techo para mi País’ to construct public resources for villages in the north of Chile. Funds from the alliance will also aid reconstruction efforts in the country’s earthquake-affected areas.
