The Chilean winery Concha y Toro, the eighth largest winery in the world, became a new Manchester United sponsor this month. Manchester United is one of the most renowned soccer teams in England and in the world.
Starting in August, the wine company founded in 1883 and which currently exports products to 135 countries will be able to broadcast ads on the digital panels of Old Trafford Stadium, owned by the British soccer team.
In addition, starting this month, the world-renowned Chilean winery will appear in the soccer team’s media channels, as well as in its technical marketing products, making its presence known in the stadium’s halls and pubs.
As part of an official release announcing the agreement, the company did not specify the amount of money involved, but did announce that the Chilean firm would continue to sponsor the soccer team up until 2013. The document added that this information would be specified at a press conference scheduled for the month of August.
