The two-day music festival will feature performances from major international acts like Kanye West, Fatboy Slim and The Flaming Lips, as well as performers from Spain, Argentina, France and, of course, Chile.

Full Lollapalooza schedule announced: Kanye West will close the two-day festival performing from 9 to 11 pm on the main stage, while headliners The Killers will close out the first day in the same time slot. Major bands on the festival’s first day will be Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, The National, Fatboy Slim and Los Bunkers. Day two will feature Jane’s Addiction, The Flaming Lips, Devandra Banhart and Chico Trujillo. See here for the full schedule.

Only minutes after announcing the lineup for the first international edition of Lollapalooza, to be held on April 2 and 3 in Santiago, the topic became the world’s number one trending topic on Twitter. A major presence in the US music festival circuit, Lollapalooza took shape in 1991 under the direction of Perry Farrell, front man of Jane’s Addiction. In honor of its 20th anniversary, Lollapalooza becomes an international event with Jane’s Addiction as one of the headlining acts.

The festival will take place over two days in Parque O’Higgins, one of Santiago’s largest parks and the setting for major festivities throughout the year. Expected to draw some 100,000 people, the event is not only an opportunity for Chileans to enjoy music from favorite international acts, but also a launching platform for young Chilean bands seeking a larger audience. With one of the richest indie and rock scenes in Latin America, Chile is a natural choice for the festival’s first international iteration.

Headliners The Killers, Jane’s Addiction and Kanye West will be joined by Chilean artists like wildly popular cumbia band, Chico Trujillo, Grammy-nominated hip hop artist Anita Tijoux, and Los Bunkers, the Santiago-based rock band that will be the first Chilean group featured in Southern California’s Coachella Festival two weeks later.

Other acts represent a wide array of international recording artists, including Spanish singer Mala Rodriguez, Argentine rock band Todos tus Muertos, Colombian electronica group Bomba Estereo, and French DJ Joachim Garraud. Some of the Chilean musicians included in the festival include reggae artist Quique Neira, singer Francisca Valenzuela and DJ Raff.

Other bands featured in Lollapalooza Chile will include:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs
30 Seconds to Mars
Fatboy Slim
The Flaming Lips
The National
Cold War Kids
Cat Power
Devendra Banhart
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
Ben Harper
