This park located in the Aysen province protects several islands located in the southermost part of the country. It was originally created as a Forest Reserve, but in 1983 was declared a National Park. Throughout this, the only human settlement is a small fishermen cove that receives the name of “Puerto Gaviota”. One of the main attractions of this unit are its populations of penguins, thrushes and sea lions.
