Unit located in the Biobío Region and cover a total surface of 11.600 hectares. It stands out for its three main natural attractions;, the Antuco volcano, the Laja’s Lagoon and the Laja River. Despite of being located in a area with great weather conditions, due to the several volcanic eruptions that took place during the past centuries, the vegetation as well as the animal presence is little. It is still possible to find trees such as the “ciprés de la cordillera” and animals like cougars and viscachas.
