“Quema de monos”

One of the most popular traditions from the north of Chile. Each new year, hundreds of people create dolls made of old clothes and paper, which are burned at midnight. A tradition that represents leaving behind everything old and bad that happened during the year, and receive the new year full of hope and expectations.
