Also located right by the Farellones ski center, with access to El Colorado, Valle Nevado and La Parva, this option feels a lot like a cozy cabin on the mountain with its wood stoves and warm living spaces.
The refugio offers rooms for four, six and eight guests as well as an apartment that can host up to ten guests. The prices start at US$29 (CLP 15,000) with breakfast included.
As a hub for the Club Andino de Gastón Saavedra, the Refugio’s main priority is helping its guests enjoy the mountains and really get to explore all they have to offer.
Hostería y Aventura Chil’in
Part of the Termas de Chillan complex, Hostería y Aventura Chil’in is a great option for anyone looking to travel a little farther south for their winter adventure.
With prices that start at US$35 (CLP 18.000) during peak season, the hostel offers individual and shared rooms with breakfast as well as cabins for groups of six. The space has more than just rooms, however. It also includes a bar and restaurant, a pool and outdoor jacuzzis as well as ski rentals and storage.
Looking for something off the slopes? The Hostería y Aventura Chil’in also organizes hikes up the local volcano, horseback rides during sunnier weather and other excursions.
